Thanks for learning about how we are handling COVID and therapy!
Compass Counseling & Wellness, PLLC is commited to maintaining your safety as a client.  We are also committed to maintaining the safety of other clients and the clinicians who work together in our group.  Read below for the typical questions about how COVID Protocols can impact therapy.
The Delta variant is on the rise in Mecklenburg County, and many of the most recent cases are those in children under twelve, the current age to be eligible for vaccination. Kids need therapy too, and we are trying to keep them safe!!!  So, we are doing our part to stop the spread of COVID completely.  We ask that you consider and comply with the following when you visit your provider:

1.  Wear Your Mask
The providers at Compass Counseling & Wellness, PLLC share a lobby, hallway, and restroom.  We also share these spaces with other providers who are not a part of the Compass group.   We are currently requiring masks in shared spaces.  Please wear your mask while you wait in the lobby for your provider.  Please wear your mask when you use our restroom and move through our hallways.

2.  Stay Home If You Are Sick
We want to see you, but not if you're not feeling well!  Each of our providers have the option for telehealth services.  We encourage you to reach out to your provider if you are not feeling well and find an alternative for your appointment.  Most insurances are covering telehealth services.   This allows the provider to stay well too.   We thank you for your consideration, and so do the other clients!

3.  Talk To Your Provider
Each of our providers manages in-person therapy individually.  Masks may be required in session, or may not be therapeutically appropriate for some individuals.  Please discuss with your provider the options that work best for you and/or your child in therapy.  You can also discuss options for managing arrival if you are uncomfortable waiting in our lobby with your provider.

3.  Do Your Part
In our lobby, you will find single use masks (if you forgot yours), and hand sanitizer (just in case!).  You will also find those in our restroom for your use.  Please wash your hands frequently, wear your mask, stay home if you're not well, and consider getting a vaccination when you're eligible.  Doing your part allows us to help eliminate COVID and the necessary protocols needed like those listed above.  We can all do this.....if we work TOGETHER!
